I support Gabriel F. T. Gomes <gabriel@inconstante.eti.br>'s request
to become Debian Developer, uploading.

Gabriel's work on adopting and resurrecting bash-completion is really
great. I have had the pleasure to work with him on this package, and
he has always been very responsive and willing to learn. I usually
joke saying that it's impossible to make him feel angry, which is a
very useful skill when dealing with bug reports, as we all know. He
also does a good work with pragha, but I have not had the chance to
work directly with him on that project.

Gabriel has also been very helpful during the (never-ending) packaging
of pagure. He sat with me for several days during the last DebConf,
and helped me make a lot of progress. It was a great opportunity to
exchange experience and knowledge with him, and I was really pleased
to see how interested he was in learning new packaging stuff.

Finally, and most importantly (IMHO), Gabriel truly believes in Free
Software and in Debian. I find that very reassuring, and I know that
he will work towards improving the project not only on the technical
side, but on the human side as well.

I have personally worked with Gabriel F. T. Gomes
<gabriel@inconstante.eti.br> (key

and I know Gabriel F. T. Gomes can be trusted to be a full member of
Debian, and have unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights, right now.

I had worked with Gabriel daily for more than two years, and I
understand he has all the skills and mindset required to work and make
Debian better.

Gabriel has demonstrated the free software spirit, and helped me with some
packages I had packaged or maintained, as libdfp, paflib, libvecpf,
libauxv. I've also sponsored (IIRC) some of his packages, as pragha.
