For nm.debian.org, at 2020-04-13:
I support Birger Schacht <birger@rantanplan.org>'s request to become Debian
Developer, uploading. I have worked with Birger Schacht in the past: I reviewed and
sponsored the `usbguard` package that Birger maintains.

I have personally worked with Birger Schacht <birger@rantanplan.org> (key
C5BC7498F466D885188CB397CB06EA7B78DBE151) outside of Debian for approximately
four years, and I know Birger Schacht can be trusted to be a full member of
Debian, and have unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights, right now.

I am happy to advocate Birger Schacht <birger@rantanplan.org>'s request to become a Debian Developer.

I started to work with Birger during the GSOC 2018 where I mentored him to develop an LDAP Frontend (nacho). I also follow his work on the swaywm ecosystem for a long time. He has shown a deep technical knowledge and it was a please working with hin.

I am sure that Birger is a great asset for the project and therefore I am happy to advocate him to become a full member that has nsupervised, unrestricted upload rights.

For nm.debian.org (2020-04-17):

I'm excited to see that that Birger Schacht <birger@rantanplan.org>
aims to become a Debian Developer and fully support his request.

I know Birger personally since several years and can only say good
things about him.

I work together with Birger in the 'Sway Compositor and related
packages' team[1] and sponsored several of his uploads before he
became a Debian Maintainer.

Since some months already, Birger has uploading rights for several
sway related packages. After giving him upload rights, I usually
skimmed through his commits and they continue to be of high quality.

I know that Birger Schacht <birger@rantanplan.org> (key fingerprint
C5BC 7498 F466 D885 188C B397 CB06 EA7B 78DB E151) can be trusted to
be a full member of Debian, and have unsupervised, unrestricted upload
rights, right now.
