For nm.debian.org, at 2021-02-12:
I support Sophie Brun <sophie@freexian.com>'s request to become Debian
Developer, uploading.

I have personally worked with Sophie Brun <sophie@freexian.com> (key
3B21B8E68AE5C16F87F5322D5792783B206FEE30) for the last 6 years.

She has been working at Freexian with me. I have sponsored dozens of
packages for her, largely as part of the work that we do for Kali Linux in
the context of the pkg-security team and that is paid by Offensive
Security but not only:
https://qa.debian.org/developer.php?email=sophie%40offensive-security.com

She has created lots of new packages in Kali Linux and also contributed
a few of them in Debian. Some of the packages that she created for Kali
have been imported back into Debian by other contributors.

She has also been contributing to various Debian packages on request of
other Freexian customers:
https://qa.debian.org/developer.php?email=sophie%40freexian.com

She should have joined Debian much earlier but she was scared (and still
somewhat is) because she lacks some confidence in her technical abilities
and is not always at ease with the use of English.

The few times when she made mistakes, she always fixed them swiftly and
tries hard to follow the high standards we have with Debian (while we
take some liberty in Kali).

I believe her (long-term) track record of contributions shows by itself
that there's no point to start as Debian Maintainer, in particular since
the work she's doing requires touching many different packages and
introducing new packages to Debian.

I know that Sophie Brun can be trusted to be a full member of Debian, and
have unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights, right now.

I support Sophie Brun <sophie@freexian.com>'s request to become Debian Developer, uploading.

I have worked with Sophie Brun on bugs related to OpenVAS (GVM) Debian packages, and she also packaged and imported the new version of OpenVAS (GVM) related packages. Her contributions demonstrate her ability as a developer.

I have personally worked with Sophie Brun <sophie@freexian.com> (key 3B21B8E68AE5C16F87F5322D5792783B206FEE30) for the whole of 2020, and I know Sophie Brun can be trusted to be a full member of Debian, and have unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights, right now.

Although I have not directly worked with Sophie, I have consistently and
frequently worked on packages which she had previously done most of the
packaging work, as part of the security tools packaging team.

She has always showed a great expertise with regarding to both packaging and
understanding the domain of the software being packaged.

Also, I do notice all her work under the team and it's not uncommon for me to
check in on a bug and realize that she has already solved it. In fact, I used
to wonder why she haven't applied to DD yet, so this is great news.

Considering all of Sophie's work, that I have seen since at least 2017 under
the security tools packaging team, I have no doubts she is fit for a DD role
and that the Debian project will be better with her on board :)

I have indirectly worked with Sophie Brun <sophie@freexian.com> (key

I support Sophie Brun <sophie@freexian.com>'s request to become
Debian Developer, uploading. I have worked with Sophie Brun as
part of the Debian Security Tools Packaging Team for years
(wfuzz, patator, and others) and sponsored some of her packages.
Over the last years, Sophie not only thoroughly maintained the
team's packages, she also imported/packaged a large number of
applications - notably from Kali Linux.

I also met Sophie multiple times at Debian events. She is a
seasoned Debian maintainer, and I am surprised that she is not
already a DD. I am happy to see this request.
