I am a research engineer in the R&D department of a French electricity provider. My fields are statistics and stochastic optimization.
In 2013, during my PhD, I discovered Debian GNU/Linux and free software. First I was attracted by the technical quality of the distribution and its completeness, and then I became more sensible to the ethics of free software.
After having used Debian many years, I wanted to be part of it and thus began contributing. I discovered the Debian Med team, whose goals are very meaningful to me. I am now a regular contributor of the team, especially on Java as we have many packaging workflows including Java libraries.
In the near future, I would like to help fixing missing dependencies issues to have important software packaged in Debian Med. I would also like to help maintaining some software close to my own scientific domain.
