I support Jongmin Kim <jmkim@debian.org>'s request to become a Debian Developer, uploading.
Jongmin is one of the people who taught me a lot of things when I was still learning the ropes of debian
packaging. I was one of the people who'd tell him that he should apply for uploading DD, and I am very
happy that he's done that now. There is a bunch of packages for which I have given Jongmin DM access for,
and my policy for doing so has been "give access to any package he asks for". That is because Jongmin is
very meticulous with his work and very much technically sound. I have also seen Jongmin's dedication in
getting lazygit packaged into debian, a process that took a long time. I'm sure this doesn't happen much,
but I am very happy to advocate for someone who patiently taught me a lot of things when I started. Having
Jongmin as an uploading DD will be a nice asset to debian.
I have personally worked with Jongmin Kim <jmkim@debian.org>
(key D3D7A23522B641FB78ACC775000001EFCF1A50FA) for about two years, and I know Jongmin Kim
can be trusted to be a full member of Debian, and have unsupervised, unrestricted upload rights, right now.

Re-issuing my statement after a few typo fixes and I missed to add the
"I support... " headers earlier.

I have worked with Jongmin Kim on several go packages.
for more than 2 years and I consider them as having sufficient technical competence.
As far as I can remember, my interactions with jmkim goes back to 2019
when I had just started contributing to the project and Jongmin helped
me with understanding the release process.
We then had the opportunity to interact again in 2023. The roles
reversed this time, and I was helping him out packaging and eventually
sponsoring some go packages which were dependencies of lazygit.
He eventually managed to land lazygit in the archive, and it's quite well maintained.
All this time, I observed that Jongmin has good understanding about
packaging, our procedures and is very quick to address feedback. He's
also a really nice and friendly person, and it's always my honor and
pleasure to work with him.
He also was the lead organizer of Debconf 24 in Busan, South Korea which
he managed to pull off in a very short time-frame; this also speaks for
the fact that he is already a non-uploading DD.
I recently noticed him mentoring new contributors (from South Korea), and
it'd be great to give him upload rights for him to sponsor their packages and
further enhance the community in South Korea. I have no doubts that
Jongmin is more than qualified to become an uploading DD.

I support Jongmin Kim <jmkim@debian.org>'s request to become a Debian Developer, uploading.
I have worked with Jongmin Kim on several Golang packages including lazygit
for around 7 months and I consider them as having sufficient technical competence.
We have collaborated on packaging many different libraries that lazygit depends
on within the Debian Go Packaging Team, and have found little to no issues with
Jongmin's work. He demonstrates great technical competency, understanding of
Debian's procedures, and attention to detail.
