For nm.debian.org, at 2026-06-05:
I support Ivan Hu <ivan.hu@canonical.com>'s request to become a Debian
Maintainer.
I have worked with Ivan Hu on acpica-unix Debian package
for 5 years. I sponsored uploading of this package more than 10 times.
And I consider it as having sufficient technical competence.
Ivan is an expert of Linux kernel and the ACPI subsystem.
I had the pleasure of working closely with Ivan in the same team during
my time at Canonical.
He is a great software engineer and a highly collaborative team member
who is incredibly easy to work with.
He possesses deep expertise in the Linux kernel and the ACPI subsystem,
backed by a strong track record as a long-term open-source contributor
with multiple commits directly upstreamed into the Linux kernel.
Ivan has done a fantastic job maintaining the advanced ACPI subsystem
tools for Debian, which routinely achieves zero Lintian errors or warnings.
I have personally worked with Ivan Hu <ivan.hu@canonical.com>
(key AFAA7BBA1237935693A20DD1BD225722BB40051B) for more than 10 years
, and I know Ivan Hu
can be trusted to have upload rights for their own packages, right now.
