For nm.debian.org, at 2021-02-01:
I support Maarten L. Hekkelman <maarten@hekkelman.com>'s request to become Debian Maintainer. I have worked with Maarten on cif-tools, density-fitness, libcpp4, libnewuoa and libpdb-redo since December 2020. During that time we kept in close touch via email. I noticed his good packaging skills, ability to learn fast, commitment to maintaining packages, and sincerity. Maarten has spent quite some effort porting his packages to less common architectures, en route harnessing porterboxes. Moreover, it must be noted that Maarten's contributions to Debian date as far back as year 2012 (see dssp). To sum up, I am certain that entrusting him with upload rights for his own packages will surely benefit Debian, especially in its sections of chemistry and crystallography.
I have personally worked with Maarten L. Hekkelman <maarten@hekkelman.com> (key 673951C6144456062CADCE0D0449405060954F9D) for the last two months, and I believe Maarten can be trusted to have upload rights for his own packages, right now.
