I support Mathias Gibbens <mathias@calenhad.com>'s request to become a Debian
Developer, uploading. I have worked with Mathias Gibbens on having some
dependencies of LXD uploaded in the Go Team for some months and did some review
of their work on other packages for quite some time. Recently, I accepted them
as a member of the LXC team, as their work on src:lxc was quite nice. I
consider Mathias as having sufficient technical competence.
I have personally worked with Mathias Gibbens <mathias@calenhad.com> (key

Gibbens can be trusted to be a full member of Debian, and have unsupervised,
unrestricted upload rights, right now.

I support Mathias Gibbens <mathias@calenhad.com>'s request to become a Debian Developer, uploading.
I have worked with Mathias Gibbens on several dependencies of lxd, and finally lxd itself
since April this year and I consider them as having sufficient technical competence.
Mathias was engaged in packaging several dependencies of LXD (which is a _big_ task) and also
updating several packages w/o breaking other things in the ecosystem. IMHO, Mathias has done
a great job at all of these, and I almost never had anything to add to the packages he asked
me to sponsor.
I finally also sponsored lxd for him (currently in NEW) and I was surprised to see the very
high quality of package he had prepared, since this was a very complicated one.
Mathias is also able to debug complicated failures on his own. His behavior has been excellent
as well, and he is friendly to work with.

I support Mathias Gibbens <mathias@calenhad.com>'s request to become a Debian
Developer, uploading. I have worked with Mathias on packaging OpenRCT2 since
early 2021 and I consider them as having sufficient competence in both technical
matters and Debian policy. I mostly sponsored their OpenRCT2-related packages
and I can say that they were of high quality all the time.

I have been working with Mathias on several dependencies of LXD since beginning of 2022 and I must
say I have been amazed by Mathias packaging skills and how quick he learn and integrate feedback and
new concepts.
For his work on LXD mathias helped the Go team updating many existings packages, fixing some bugs,
and getting new packages in the archive, always with little to no feedback. As a DM, many of us in
the team has granted him DM access so he can manage his packages by himself.
Finally, Mathias has managed to package both OpenRTC & LXD which are really complex piece of software.
All of this makes me think Mathias is more than ready to join the Debian project as a full member.
